Precision body contouring

Liposuction in not what it used to be in the 20th Century. Recent advances in liposuction technology have made this procedure less invasive and more comfortable, with a quicker recovery time than older, traditional liposuction techniques. If you have stubborn fat deposits in different areas of the body, Dr. Alexander Sinclair can perform a liposuction procedure to contour, enhance, and sculpt a sleeker, smoother body.

Dr. Sinclair has operated on thousands of patients in the greater Los Angeles area. He has more than three decades of experience performing all types of aesthetic plastic surgery procedures. He has earned a reputation for surgical excellence and a compassionate and friendly manner. If you would like to eliminate stubborn fat deposits while sculpting a better body, call Sinclair Plastic Surgery for a consultation.

Ideal candidate for Liposuction

Contrary to a common misconception, liposuction is not designed for weight loss. The ideal candidate for this procedure is a patient who is generally healthy and not extremely overweight, but tired of fighting a losing battle against localized stubborn fat deposits that do not respond to exercise and diet.

After spending hours at the gym and religiously tracking calories, it can be discouraging to still have “love handles,” belly fat, “pillow arms,” unsightly bulges on the back, hips, or thighs, or rolls of fat under the chin. Various physical factors can make localized fat deposits super-resistant to diet and exercise efforts. These factors include hormonal changes, insulin resistance, disrupted sleep patterns, and high cortisol levels related to stress. When fat deposits refuse to budge, liposuction may be the best option to restore smoother, sleeker lines to your silhouette.

Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction

Ultrasound assisted liposuction is a relatively new technique for safely removing unwanted fat. It uses tiny cannulas (stainless steel surgical instruments) and ultrasound waves to gently dislodge fat cells for removal. This technique makes it possible to operate on smaller areas of the body and exercise greater control for expert body sculpting and shaping.

Another major advantage of new liposuction technology is that the fat cells are not damaged or destroyed in the process of removal. The patient’s own cells can be transferred to augment other areas of the body, such as the breasts, buttocks, face, or even the backs of the hands, with soft, smooth, natural looking results.

With these modern, advanced liposuction techniques, Dr. Sinclair can safely remove unwanted fat in a minimally invasive manner from virtually any area of the body, including the belly, arms, knees, back, thighs, hips, waist, and chin. This procedure leaves smooth skin. Recovery from this form of liposuction is faster as well.

PRACTICE POLICY UPDATE REGARDING COVID-19

Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update

Updated - June 26th 2020

The COVID-19 epidemic has created unprecedented circumstances for our community. Our practice has been paying close attention to the guidelines put in place by the government and

With this in mind, we are offering virtual consultations to patients via face time, however, face-to-face in-office consultation are still available. We are still seeing post-operative patients and patients requiring ongoing treatments. To schedule, a virtual consultation or in-office consultation call our office.

Please know that we are constantly updating our services and staffing according to the local and national recommendations and doing our part to make sure that you are protected

  • We continue to exercise all the latest recommendations that are handed down by the CDC. Our preventative measures include:
  • Fully training all staff members to understand the disease process and its modes of transmission.
  • Appointments will be staggered to avoid congestion in the waiting room.
  • Checking temperatures of every patient that comes into the office.
  • Asking all staff, vendors and ancillary personnel to refrain from coming to the office if they have any signs or symptoms of a cold or an upper respiratory tract infection.
  • Asking every patient to refrain from coming to the office if they have any symptoms and inquiring about any pertinent travel history.
  • Hand-washing, as this continues to be the most important mode of prevention.
  • Although it is something that we have always constantly done, we are now doing so with heightened vigilance and attention.
  • Constantly sanitizing all surfaces (which we have always done as an accredited facility).

However, we have now increased this routine and are wiping down all surfaces, desks, door handles, keyboards and restroom facilities multiple times each day.

Although Covid-19 is a serious issue, we strongly believe that it will pass and hopefully make our infrastructure and our ability to deal with pandemics in this country even better than it currently is. We are closely monitoring this situation on a real-time basis and will update our practice’s guidelines as needed to protect our patients.
