Your face is your outward representation of your inner self. When the effects of the aging process begin to set in, however, that can have a negative impact on how we see ourselves and how we present that vision to others. Fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone, sun spots, age spots, and loss of firmness may be making your face appear older than you would prefer.

With the help of the CO2 Laser at Sinclair Plastic Surgery, we can help you restore your skin tone, create a new smooth texture, and remove years from your appearance restoring your self-confidence in the process.

What is CO2 Laser?

The CO2 Laser belongs to the fractional or pixelated family of lasers. It uses intense, pixelated energy to deeply resurface your skin, producing a more radiant texture, reducing the visible signs of aging, and stimulating your body’s ability to produce collagen and elastin.

Deep skin resurfacing requires expertise and artistry, and Dr. Sinclair is unmatched in his ability to provide glowing results. As a board-certified plastic surgeon, he stays on top of the latest cutting-edge techniques, so he may bring those tools to his practice. With the CO2 laser in his capable hands, you will notice that lines and wrinkles are softened, firmness and volume is restored, and your skin will achieve that coveted lit-from-within glow.

How is the CO2 Laser Used?

The CO2 laser uses fractional energy; that is, scattered light beams designed to penetrate deep into the layers of your skin to resurface and revitalize your complexion. When the CO2 laser makes contact with the surface of your skin, it delivers heat to the layers of the dermis, while removing the outermost layers of skin. As old, damaged skin is removed new, fresh skin will begin to form reviving the complexion as it heals.

What Can I Expect During Treatment with the CO2 Laser?

Due to the depth of treatment with the CO2 laser, sedation is used to ensure your comfort during the procedure. Dr. Sinclair and his staff will work to ensure your safety as he uses the CO2 laser to resurface your skin.

The outermost layers of the skin will be targeted with CO2 energy to remove them entirely, eliminating damaged skin cells. The CO2 laser will then deeply stimulate the dermis, enhancing your production of collagen and elastin and providing results that will continue to reveal themselves for months.

What Can I Expect Following Treatment with the CO2 Laser?

Many patients begin to see results within one week of treatment with the CO2 laser. As the skin begins to heal, you may experience redness, bruising, and peeling at the treatment area. Dr. Sinclair will prescribe pain medication to allow your body to heal in comfort.

Since treatment with the CO2 laser is so deep, there is no need to schedule a series of treatments to see results. One treatment is all that is required to resurface your skin and restore youthful radiance.

PRACTICE POLICY UPDATE REGARDING COVID-19

Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update

Updated - June 26th 2020

The COVID-19 epidemic has created unprecedented circumstances for our community. Our practice has been paying close attention to the guidelines put in place by the government and

With this in mind, we are offering virtual consultations to patients via face time, however, face-to-face in-office consultation are still available. We are still seeing post-operative patients and patients requiring ongoing treatments. To schedule, a virtual consultation or in-office consultation call our office.

Please know that we are constantly updating our services and staffing according to the local and national recommendations and doing our part to make sure that you are protected

  • We continue to exercise all the latest recommendations that are handed down by the CDC. Our preventative measures include:
  • Fully training all staff members to understand the disease process and its modes of transmission.
  • Appointments will be staggered to avoid congestion in the waiting room.
  • Checking temperatures of every patient that comes into the office.
  • Asking all staff, vendors and ancillary personnel to refrain from coming to the office if they have any signs or symptoms of a cold or an upper respiratory tract infection.
  • Asking every patient to refrain from coming to the office if they have any symptoms and inquiring about any pertinent travel history.
  • Hand-washing, as this continues to be the most important mode of prevention.
  • Although it is something that we have always constantly done, we are now doing so with heightened vigilance and attention.
  • Constantly sanitizing all surfaces (which we have always done as an accredited facility).

However, we have now increased this routine and are wiping down all surfaces, desks, door handles, keyboards and restroom facilities multiple times each day.

Although Covid-19 is a serious issue, we strongly believe that it will pass and hopefully make our infrastructure and our ability to deal with pandemics in this country even better than it currently is. We are closely monitoring this situation on a real-time basis and will update our practice’s guidelines as needed to protect our patients.
