Dr. Sinclair can dramatically rejuvenate a patient’s appearance by tightening the skin of the neck and creating a contoured, more youthful neckline. This is accomplished by removing excess fat and skin and tightening the muscles. Although the neck is still subject to the effects of aging, the results of this procedure are typically long-lasting, generally up to 10 years or more.

Neck lift procedure
Neck lift surgery generally takes approximately 1 to 3 hours. This outpatient procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia along with intravenous sedation, although general anesthesia is also available for those who prefer it. A neck lift can be performed in conjunction with other facial surgeries, such as a face lift or brow lift.
What to expect after
You will wear a neck sling or other protective wrapping for the first day after the surgery. Your sutures may be absorbable, or they may need to be removed within one or two weeks after surgery. You may experience bruising and swelling, which could last approximately two weeks, and moderate discomfort, which can be controlled with oral pain medication. The final results of your neck lift procedure can be seen approximately 1 to 3 months after surgery is complete.
